This special exhibit features Talbot County artisans and craftsmen from centuries past to the early 2000’s. Some individuals featured include Robert Lambdin\, Downes Curtis\, Ruth Orrell\, James and Joseph Neall\, Thomas Bruff\, Anna Maria Hammond and many more! Learn about their connections and importance to Talbot County history. View their talent and craftsmanship highlighted in this fun and informative exhibit. \nExhibit hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.\nLocation: 25 S. Washington Street (Denton Extended Museum and Hill Research Center)

DESCRIPTION:“African American Soldiers\, Slave and Free\, from the Eastern Shore of Maryland\, Who Served in the Civil War”\n with Dr. Clara Small\, historian\nNovember 8\, 2023 at 1pm\nLocation: Talbot Historical Society\nSee Below for Details \nDr. Small’s lecture will offer special emphasis on the Unionville Eighteen including their fight to serve in the war\, their impact on the war\, and their plight after the war. \nDr. Clara Small is a historian\, a retired Salisbury University professor and an accomplished author having written books such as “Reality Check: Brief Biographies of African-Americans on Delmarva”\, “Compass Points Volume: Profiles and Biographies of African Americans from the Delmarva Peninsula l\, ll & lll”\, “They Wore Blue and Their Hearts Were Loyal: The United States Colored Troops of Dorchester County\, Maryland”.
