A classic returns in a second edition, Rivers of the Eastern Shore, by Hulbert Footner. Footner’s social history is a spirited tribute to the people and rivers that made the Eastern Shore geographically and culturally distinctive. It begins with its early settlements and encompasses American and local historic milestones taking readers back to the 1940s. Karen Footner is the granddaughter of the author and Dennis Forney is the publisher.
The Talbot Historical Society is pleased to partner with the Talbot County Free Library for this and future lectures in the Date With History Series.
