The Talbot Historical Society (THS) will hold its Annual Fundraiser Gala, “The Remarkable Story of the Tilghman Family” at Plimhimmon Estate on Saturday September 20, 2025 from 4pm-6:30pm. We are hosted by our honorary co-chairpersons, Ryan and Amanda Dearborn. This extraordinary, elegant event promises to be an enchanting evening of food, drink, music and entertainment. Plimhimmon was constructed in the last half of the 18th century and is a beautiful and significant example of an early brick Georgian style house, with later additions.

History shapes the soul of a community, just as powerfully as art, literature, or music. In Talbot County, our heritage runs deep. From the echoes of native voices along the Tred Avon to the courage of freedom seekers and the visionaries who built our towns, our past is rich with stories that deserve to be told and remembered. At the Talbot Historical Society, we believe these stories matter.
