Our exhibits are open from Wednesday – Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The Talbot Historical Society’s campus is comprised of six buildings as well as our one acre garden. See our campus and learn the history behind our buildings and garden.

We currently have two permanent exhibits on display in the Mary Jenkins House and a spotlight display in the
Denton Musuem.

Mary Jenkins House

30 S. Washington St

Open Wednesday – Saturday. Please use the side entrance inside the fenced area. Free parking is available directly behind the Mary Jenkins House.

Larry Denton Extended Museum

Use the front entrance.

Catherine Valliant Hill Research Center

Open Wednesday – Saturday. When you enter the building, walk through the Denton Museum to the room directly behind it. Request an appointment here.

The main entrance is located between the Neall House and The Denton Extended Museum & Catherine Valliant Hill Research Center.

The Talbot Historical Society's parking lot is behind the Mary Jenkins House at 30 South Washington Street. There is a municipal parking lot directly to the right (north) of the Catherine Valliant Hill Research Center on Washington Street. It offers 3-hour limited free parking and metered parking spots that accept only quarters.

Visiting our museum exhibits and using our research library is completely free! Donations are greatly appreciated.

If you would like a photocopy or a high-quality digital copy of a photo or a document found during your research, there is a fee of $35 per photo.

You don't need an appointment to visit the museum. We just ask that your group size stays under 10 people due to space limitations. If you'd like to bring a larger group, such as for a field trip, a big family, or an organizational visit, please contact us at 410-822-0773  or fill out our large group request form to schedule an appointment.

Please schedule an appointment to use the research library so we can verify the availability or resources. You can call 410-822-1287 or fill out our research library appointment form to set up an appointment.

The research center hours are Wednesday - Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The gardens are open and free to the public seven days a week during daylight hours. This is private property, and we appreciate your respect for the space maintained by the Talbot Garden Club for everyone's enjoyment.

We don't have fixed times for research appointments or visits but our hours are from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If you are unable to complete your research during your first visit, you're welcome to schedule follow-up appointments to continue.

You may take photographs, but please avoid using flash and be considerate of others around you. We also request that you only use these photos for presonal, non-commercial purposes. If you share your pictures online, tag us at @talbothistoricalsociety! We would love to see them.

Please leave pets at home. Service animals are permitted.

No food or beverages are allowed in the museum or research library.

Restrooms are available to visitors in the Catherine Valliant Hill Research Center and Mary Jenkins House.

The main floors of the Catherine Valliant Hill Research Center and the Mary Jenkins House =, which are open tot he public, should be accessible. Unfortunately, the Neall House is currently inaccessible due to its age and construction.

We don't have a gift shop, but we sell copies of the Easton Album by Norman Harrington for $15 and photos from our collections for $35 each.
