There are many ways you can support THS in our mission to preserve Talbot County’s history and help to educate the public. Whether you are interested in becoming a sponsor, donating objects to our collections, volunteering, or making a financial contribution, we sincerely appreciate all the support.
THS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We encourage you to consult a licensed tax advisor, estate planner, financial advisor, or similar professional. A copy of our financial statement is available upon request. Your tax advisor may request this THS identification number:

Annual Giving
THS officially launches its Annual Giving Campaign in the fall but gratefully accepts donations throughout the year. These donations are our primary revenue source and vital for fulfilling our mission of making local history accessible.
Please consider a generous donation to the Annual Giving Campaign in one of two ways:
- Contribute electronically (If you would like to set up a recurring monthly donation, please call our office at (410) 822-0773).
- Mail a check with this form directly to the Talbot Historical Society, 30 S. Washington St., Easton, MD 21601
Planned Giving

You can continue to support the Talbot Historical Society even after your lifetime through a planned gift, whether it involves estate planning or financial planning. The following are options to consider:
- Include THS in your will or trust, or name THS as the beneficiary.
- Add this language to your legal documents: I bequeath (a dollar amount, stocks, or a percentage of my estate) to Talbot Historical Society, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, whose principal office is located at 30 S. Washington St., Easton, MD 21601, with the Tax Identification Number (EIN 52-6044645).
- If you have an insurance policy or annuity, you may name THS as the beneficiary of the proceeds or corpus.
Business Sponsorship
Annual Business Sponsorships help fund our exhibits and related programming such as schools and visitor experiences in various Talbot County organizations. Donate to the Collection
We sincerely appreciate your interest in donating your photographs, documents, objects, and books to our collections. If you have an object or objects you are considering donating to Talbot Historical Society, please email the THS director, Peggy Morey, at director@talbothistory.org or call 410-822-1287.
To expedite your inquiry, you may send a photo of the potential donation along with any information about its history. Please DO NOT bring potential donations to the Talbot Historical Society without an appointment with a museum staff member. Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations without a scheduled appointment.
Criteria for Donations:
When considering donating an object to the Talbot Historical Society, please note that all items that are submitted for accession must be related to Talbot County, possess historic or artistic value, and comply with the Society's collection policy. Due to our limited storage and scope, we reserve the right to decline any donation. If we are unable to accept your donation, we will try to refer you to a more suitable organization.
